Well I'm happy that a map tool is out for cod..but i am not happy with it! It is so confusing! why don't they put effort in making one with the accaull pictures of buildings and such...something like Tony Hawk pro skater on the playstation... its so easy!...I need to find a tutorial because i have no clue how to make a map with this software.

I didn't meen exactly like tony hawk..but similar to it. Like different items(objects)and put them together to make ur own building..and stuff like that...of course a premade building would be boring!

G'day guys,
Look I am totally new to anything of this style of program. Actually never touched on it before. But I am going to attempt to use this because I am sick of poorly designed maps. No offence to the makers of COD, but for example, there are two maps in which the mates and I like to play. And we play these two maps for one reason. 2 vs 2 sniper wars. See who can hold out the longest before moving. Now these two maps are great (hurtgen & Pavlov) but they are only two. We want more. Also we would like other maps better equiped for smaller amounts of people. Some of the maps are too big and some are just crap styling.
Now after having said that rather large speil about the issues that I have(and probably others) I am after some sort of basic FAQ/tutorial. Even just something that shows me how to make a simple flat surface which I can put a spawn point on and render then tryout. It would also be greatly appreciated if there were simple explanations against the tools and what they do. Nothing detailed, just something like this; eg Items in this list (edit) are for editing surfaces.
That was an eg only and probably wrong, but yuo know what I mean.
Thanks heaps for any info.
Feel free to email with links/help.
Once I get a feel for the program and how things work rather than looking at it and going wtf, where and when can I use this tool and that tool and where do I start. Then hopefully I can make a nice map for others to enjoy.
Cheers BL
